LINED

May 2019

We live in human form. We possess the same parts, and yet no two parts are the same. Natural lines are what create our unique shapes, but many of them seem to go unrecognized. These paths in our natural lines appear to mimic nature, or is it nature mimicking us? I accentuate the beauty within the human shape by using flowers, leaves, and other organic materials. The use of unnatural colors may instill feelings of discomfort, as it is not the way people are used to seeing the human body. The uniqueness of each person's framework is exemplified through the varying elements in my photographs. By exploring the unusual imagery of a familiar figure, unexpected new perspectives emerge.
